Important U.S. Trade Policy Updates Affecting Maymom Shipments

We would like to inform you of two significant U.S. trade policy changes that will impact all Maymom shipments into the United States:

  1. 20% Tariff on Goods from Taiwan
Effective August 7, 2025, the U.S. government will impose a 20% import tariff on all goods originating from Taiwan, including Maymom products.
  2. End of the $800 De Minimis Exemption
Effective August 29, 2025, the U.S. government will suspend the $800 de minimis exemption, which previously allowed shipments valued at or below USD $800 to enter duty-free.
As a result, all shipments to the U.S., regardless of value, will now be subject to applicable import duties.

To adapt to these new policies and ensure smooth delivery, we will implement the following changes:

  • For items labeled as "Shipping included" (including "LOOSE ITEMS" and "Flange Insert 36 packs"):
Prices will increase by 15% starting August 15, 2025.
Maymom will absorb the import duties for these items.
  • For all other items:
    Product prices will remain unchanged.
Import duties will be the responsibility of the buyer/importer.

New Rule for the Importers from European Union

From July 1st 2021, the Value Added Tax (VAT) rules in the EU were amended.
All commercial goods imported into the EU will be subject to VAT.
The importer will be responsible for Value Added Tax (VAT) that the amount is 20% of the product price total +shipping fee. The fee will be charged by the courier when the importer receives the goods.
